Types of Films
Ad Film ( TVC )
A video advertisement, like those you see on TV or online, is a short (60 seconds or less, but ideally 30 seconds) branding-oriented video that promotes your company, product or service. A commercial video is inherently high level and should not dive into the details of what you do and how you do it, like an explainer video would. A TVC is meant to grab attention, garner interest, and get people excited about what you do. It’s a teaser designed to draw in potential customers. If you’re working on online-only content, we think a digital ad campaign is one of the best ways to really spread your brand message and also make the most of your commercial video production efforts. If you're looking for something where your company is less front-and-center in the video, perhaps consider a branded video production.

Commercial Video Production We're talking TV spots, YouTube pre-roll ads, social media campaigns, and more.
- 30 seconds or less
- High level branding content
- Generates buzz and excitement
- Motivating call-to-action
- Share-worthy
A video ad should be used at the top of the funnel. They’re most useful for generating awareness and excitement for a product or service. We suggest foregoing television, and posting your ads on YouTube, Facebook, streaming services, and other digital channels in the form of a digital ad campaign. We often develop several videos, either targeted versions of the same video or different videos leveraging the same concept, as a part of our commercial projects.
Just keep in mind, to get traction, you’ll likely need to invest some marketing dollars to promote your spot. Don’t expect an overnight viral sensation though a few of our paid ads quickly racked up over 1 million views.
Coming up with a concept for a commercial video production spot is one of the more fun and exciting jobs we get to do around here. An ad has one purpose, and that’s to get people excited about your product or service. That means our team needs to get excited too and develop creative ideas that grab attention and resonate with your audience. It starts with experiencing the product or service first-hand, truly understanding your market and customers, and developing fresh, creative concepts that balance creative and strategy.
Unlike most video content, view count is one of the leading indicators of success when it comes to commercials. If no one is seeing it, the ad doesn’t have a chance to do it’s intended job. Like we mentioned earlier, getting a significant number of views may require allocating some budget towards promoting your spot. Once views are up, keep an eye on engagement to see how much of your ad people are watching. For a short 15-30 second spot, engagement rates should be around 80%-90%.
Depending on the style and complexity, a commercial video production typically costs between 3 to 8Lakh. Budget factors include: style and complexity of the video, length of video, where you anticipate the spot airing, fees for music and talent, etc. If you’re working on a series of videos for your commercial ad campaign, the per video price may be reduced as you increase the number of videos in that production cycle.
The short answer is…the internet! Of course, that’s not terribly helpful so let’s dive a bit deeper. Typically, our commercial video productions are used as pre-roll ads on social media (Instagram, YouTube,Facebook) or in paid promotional posts on those same platforms. Sometimes these projects are used as in-video advertising on some streaming platforms. While the usage will impact the budget, it can also impact creative, so let’s be sure to discuss the most likely uses for your Film prior to kicking off.

Corporate Film
We're a corporate video production company that values quality for more effective results.
With business video productions and viewership on the rise, more executives are starting to consider videos as a necessity in their marketing plan, and their day to day operations. A recent study from Forbes stated that 75% of business executives watch work-related videos on business websites and Youtube at least once a week. So, just because you’re a B2B business doesn’t mean you have to stick to the old methods of white papers and webinars to reach your target audience. A lot goes into these business video productions and they can take a variety of shapes, so here’s a little more about how we tackle them.
Video content is a relatively easy way to help build consumer trust, develop brand identity, train staff, explain complex products, and more.
- Pre-production:
Developing a budget, brainstorming a concept, and finally writing a script (or script outline). If a voiceover is required, it is often recorded before jumping into production.
- Production:
Once a style is determined, a storyboard is created to layout the scene by scene actions. From there, the process is determined by the style.
- Live Action:
Production for live action videos typically include setting a shoot location, hiring talent (if needed), and filming with a professional camera & lighting crew.
- Animation:
Production for animated videos include developing illustrations assets based on the pre-determined style and storyboard, and then animating them in After Effects.
- Post-production:
Once the video is produced, the post-production phase includes any editing required, adding the finishing touches such as additional on-screen graphics, and sound design.
Explainer Film
Want an awesome explainer video, but don’t know how? Mind your ad films makes it easy!

An explainer Film (also known as a homepage video, overview video, conversion video, or many other names) is designed to explain your company, product, service or subject in a way that your audience can understand in two minutes or less.
Explainer Film production will analyze four key points: the problem, the solution, the features and benefits, and how the solution works.
If you're looking for a single video and more budget friendly option, we recommend going with an animated video, but, pending your brand and story, a live-action explainer production works as well.
Either way, the key to a solid explainer is keeping it short and engaging, while still conveying the right information. No matter what you’re explaining, an explainer video should leave your viewers with a clear understanding of what you do and a desire to take the next step.
Explainer videos are typically used towards the top of the funnel (consideration phase). They’re most useful when a potential customer is aware of their problem/need and starting to look at potential solutions. Places to put your explainer video: homepages, product or service pages, newsletters, trade shows, and sales meetings. Once they've watched the explainer then you might be ready for them to check out a tutorial video production, that dives deeper into how it all works (and looks)!
- Two minutes or less
- Clear and concise
- Conversational tone
- A focus on benefits not features
- Specific call-to-action

Educational films
What is educational video content and why use it?
Educational video content is useful, informative, share-worthy content that helps position you and your company as an expert or thought leader in your field. It could be a behind the scenes look into how your product is made, an animated infographic, or a video about current trends in your industry. You might also consider turning your most popular blog posts and most frequently asked questions into educational video content. If it’s something your audience would benefit from knowing, it would make a good candidate for a video.
Any industry can be ripe for creating educational video content. All it takes is a little expertise, like knowing how airplane Wifi works, or a trending topic, like how to prepare healthy lunches. Educational content is also a good way to widen your funnel and move up in search rankings for hot topics.
- Useful and informative
- Clear messaging
- Simple, easy-to-follow teaching points
- Engaging on-screen talent or characters
- 1-2 minutes in length
Educational videos should be used at the top of the funnel to generate awareness and build trust. They are not meant to sell a product or service. They’re most successful as an engagement tool on social media or strategically placed on your blog as part of your content marketing efforts.
Teaching the teachers. Training the trainer. Professoring…the professor. Okay, the last phrase doesn’t really work but Mind your ad films productions has worked on a large number of education video productions and we know that creating content for educators involves a whole different approach. Customer Testimonial Video
What are customer testimonial videos and why use them?
Customer testimonial videos (a.k.a. customer story videos or case study videos) are a way to let your customers do the talking for you. Putting your most successful, happy, or unique customers on screen is a powerful way to attach a real-life narrative to your product or service. A customer story video typically features one or more customers talking testimonial-style about how your company has made a positive impact on their life or business.
The most valuable part of a testimonial video is getting your clients to vocalize the problem they were faced with and how your company provided a solution. Along with interview footage, this type of video is typically packed with lifestyle shots (known in the biz as b-roll) of your customer using your product or service in their own environment.

Branded Video Production
What is branded video content and why use it?
Branded video content is a way of advancing a specific message or mission while keeping your company in the background. Branded video content should be authentic, entertaining, usually under 60 seconds, and target your core audience.
Unlike traditional advertisements, branded videos don’t sell anything, in fact, most of this content doesn’t even mention the brand at all. Instead, branded video content helps humanize your business by connecting to viewers emotionally and strengthening your brand voice.
- Short and sweet
- Not self-promotional
- Tells a story
- Feels genuine and authentic
- Unique voice and point-of-view
Branded video content can serve a number of purposes, and generally is used to entertain or educate an audience. To start, these videos are a great way to get the attention of potential new customers on social media platforms or YouTube, because you’re not serving them a heavy handed sales pitch. Branded video content is also a great way to connect with a strong, core customer base by reminding them of your offerings and capabilities in an engaging way. TLDR, use branded videos when you want to building awareness and make connections with new and current customers. Consider using branded video content in a series format when you want to go more in-depth on a topic but still want to keep the individual videos short, as part of a PR campaign, or for ongoing social media engagement.
Company Story Video Production
What are company story videos and why use them?
A company story video (a.k.a about us video or mission video) tells the story of your company and values. They can be a great tool for connecting with customers, sharing your passion, and humanizing your brand. Company story videos often feature team members talking testimonial-style about what they do and why they do it.
One of the most common reasons companies decide to create a company story video is to show off the personalities that make up their team along with the mission and values behind them. Though testimonial videos often get a bad wrap for just being “talking heads,” they can help visitors learn about who’s working behind the scenes to make things possible. Again, it’s all about making a human connection with your customer.

Company stories are great pieces of content to include on the “About Us” or “Our Team” section of your website. It’s ideal to have buyers view these videos prior to making a purchasing decision, as customer story videos can help differentiate your brand and give potential customers the extra nudge they need to close the deal.
- Conversational and approachable
- Authentic with a personal touch
- Multiple voices
- A documentary-like approach
- Passionate
- True to your brand
The Mind your ad films team focuses on getting to better know your team, office culture, and brand perception. In order to create an engaging concept for a company story video, it’s important we present your people in a way that aligns with your brand values, yet still find a way to delight viewers in an unexpected way.
From there, we also identify the right mix of team members to be featured throughout the video. This likely means we’re hearing from more people than just the leadership team, and from other departments than just sales and marketing. By selecting a diverse group of employees, the audience gets a better range of personalities to connect with.

Video Series
What is a video series, and why use one?
We view a business video series as a collection of informative videos created with the same end goal in mind. Traditionally three or more videos, they’re designed to have a universal appeal to customers and non-customers alike.
We live to tell our clients’ stories—and we especially love the storytelling opportunities that a business video series can provide. It’s a chance to push beyond strictly selling a product or service. A business video series offers a unique opportunity to connect with a wider audience, help them better understand complex topics within your industry, and encourage them to engage with your company. In other words, a series is a valuable tool to build your brand.
Often times, a video series is created after explainer (or sales) videos, testimonial videos, and other tutorial content has been well established.
It’s important to roll out your business video series through channels where you expect to see repeat traffic. That way, the series is consumed consistently by the same audience.
Publish your series via social during a key business initiative and add value to your followers. For example, share a video series on how to properly file your taxes during the early part of the year. Or include the videos on your blog—or a separate website—and add more content around the topic(s) that the series explores. We often advise clients to post their business video series to YouTube—it’s a smart way to keep the narrative intact. The platform allows you group videos into a specific series and then autoplay from one episode to the next.
The process for a business video series begins like many of our other productions, except that we speak to the content at a higher level. When pitching concepts or visual styles, we take into account how scalable the potential approaches are. That way, we’re developing strategic, creative ideas that are very executable.
Internal Comms Video Production
What are internal communications videos, and why use them?
In our 3+ years making video, we’ve witnessed how the structure of organizations have changed to reflect the evolving digital world. Hybrid work policies have become the standard. Some companies continue to utilize an entirely remote workforce. This creates opportunities for global expansion that is possible for even the smallest startups.
The new way of work made it difficult to ensure all employees, members or contractors were on the same page. Instead of sending out a newsletter or sending messages on Slack, we utilize the power of internal communications videos.
As your company's video production partner, we can help educate and inform viewers on any topic. Internal comm videos are a great way to align people through engaging, important, and bite-sized video content.
Added bonus, video performance can be tracked (and even who) you’ll have insights into what topics are resonating and what ones are falling flat.
Still deciding? Don’t worry, we have thought of 6 Reasons Internal Communications Videos are Unique that expand in detail the value of them.

Whenever you need to roll out mass communication to an entire company or department, it’s a good idea to consider putting that content into an internal comms video.
We’ve seen them replace company-wide emails, departmental intranet posts, or on-boarding handbooks, as these are typically wide-reaching efforts. As is true with a lot of internal communication, it’s important that these messages come from the top and management is behind the distribution (and, hopefully, production) of them.

Social Media Videos
What are social media videos, and why use them?
Social media videos are powerful tools used to communicate your product or brand to your audience and drive engagement over a short window of time. Designed specifically for social media platforms, they’re formatted and optimized for mobile and web viewing—often starting with a snappy hook that draws viewers in to combat short attention spans.
Social media videos have a variety of different purposes. Depending on what audience you’re looking to target, social media videos can be used to build awareness, as a call to action, to educate your audience… the list goes on. And with social videos generating 1200% more shares than text and image content combined, creating video for social media has quickly become an essential part of any marketing strategy.
Social media videos should be used to drive engagement: likes, comments, shares, you name it. That engagement is what allows the algorithms built in to social media platforms to bring your content organically into the feeds of new audiences. Additionally, social media videos should be used to communicate what your brand is all about and generate new awareness and enthusiasm. However, it’s important to keep your social media content light and digestible–people use social media to be entertained and to connect, not to be bogged down by ads.
If you’re coming to us for a social media video, or group of videos, chances are you’ve established a strong brand already. We’re here to enhance that brand, not reinvent it.
